You can use any Insulation Testing device and assign its conatact as DI for the PLC Thus you can get feedback of IR if it is below certain limit Siemens makes such devices http://w3.siemens.com/powerdistribution/global/EN/lv/product-portfolio/sentron/monitoring-devices/monitoring-electrical-values/insulation-monitors-industrial-applications/Pages/insulation-monitors-industrial-applications.aspx http://w3.siemens.com/powerdistribution/global/EN/lv/product-portfolio/sentron/monitoring-devices/monitoring-electrical-values/insulation-monitors-medical-premises/Pages/insulation-monitors-medical-premises.aspx You can also check Non Siemens make http://www.bender-ca.com/fileadmin/products/b/e/ProdOverview-Isometer_PROSP_en.pdf Regards, Devesh Vithani |

Hello, I have little confusion. Are you asking about IR module status or you want to ask about insulation resistance? If your query is about insulation resistance, then reply by Mr. Vitani is ok. But, if your query is about IR power module status, then please check following point. Terminal X 111 no 72, 73.1 relay contact can be configuered as IR module healthy or fault status to system. Please set the switch setting S1.2 as per your requirement. Please refer the attached sheet for more information. Hope this helps you. AttachmentIR module status.pdf (89 Downloads) |
