Checking Diagnostic error in ladder diagram for communication

Yusuf_TUNÇ Posts: 64 Rating: (2)	Hi everyone, I need to learn how to diagnostic address in ladder diagram (or SCL). I see every siemens device which compatible has diagnostic address. I guess this address is which I need to check for any fault, if the device is wheter healthy or not. I searched google and siemens form but I could't find any example. Please can anyone guide me how I use it? I will use it for a project which works with s7-314 (pn/dp) ,TP1500 basic panel (pn), 7 frequecy convertor (dp), s7-1200 (pn) I will prepare a page which shows all diagram as alive diagnostic lines if I learn how to check device diagnostic with ladder. Thank you.

In TIA, with the new S7-1200/1500 the HW-Identifier is used for such purposes. diagnostic-addresses can be found in the address-overview in the properties of the CPU, they are marked with a star. HW-Identifier can be found in the system constants also in the properties of the CPU or in the PLC-tags. hope this helps, regards,

With a S7-300 you need to activate the system diagnostic in the properties of the CPU. TIA-help is showing how it works. With a S7-1500 the system-diagnostic is always enabled and you have other instructions to read out diagnostic in user-program. System Diagnostics with S7-1500 and TIA Portal hope this helps, regards,
