Choosing MMC for 315-2 PN/DP

Raffy Posts: 209 Rating: (2)	Dear Experts, I need some advice regarding what mmc to select for CPU 315-2 PN/DP v2.6 6ES7 315-2EH13-0AB0 because it says on the manual that if using profinet I should buy 8Mb mmc but i just only 2MB because 8MB is quite big memory and might be expensive.. I have attached a file regarding the manual saying about the MMC..But I would like to confirm if I really need the 8MB or the 2MB only.. The MMC should be one and a half time bigger to use the complete workmemory. So you can use a MMC of 512 Kbyte. When you want to store more files on the MMC, you need a bigger one. And when you want to perform a Firmware update, you will need a 4 MB MMC Operating System Updates for CPU 315-2 PN/DP Best regards, Wizard

Raffy Posts: 209 Rating: (2)	Hi Wizard, Thanks for the reply..so the one that is written in the text of the manual should not really followed..I mean I can just buy a 4MB MMC?? I was just not sure because of that phrase use when you are using a CPU with PN and DP interface a minimum of 8MB is required. But I think I should buy this 4MB for firmware updates... Thanks for the advice...

(Where you can download the Firmware) There is mentioned, you need a 4 MB MMC of bigger. So a 4 MB MMC should be enough for this CPU. Best regards, Wizard
