Hi, I have a very similar query. I am intending to use a CM1241 RS485 module to control 2 x G120 inverters with CU240B-2 control units over USS. The CU240B-2 supplied documentation is clear enough about its communications plug connections, which I assume I can wire in parallel: 1 - 0V 2 - RS485P (+) 3 - RS485N (-) 4 - SHIELD 5 - N/A However there was no documentation supplied with the CM1241. The only specific data sheet I can find here is very basic. I have looked at the S7-1200 manual, which gives some tabulated info on page 317, but sadly no wiring schematic for the 9 pin connector. I don't know if the manual has been modified since the previous post, but the current version ends on page 338...obviously whatever secrets lay between this and page 343 were deemed far too useful! I presume the use of a "jumper" between pin 6 & 8 refers to the 100ohm resistor mentioned on page 317, not a direct link? Also, since I am trying to talk to multiple slaves what should their termination switches be set to? So pin 8 is wired to the (-) slave (terminal 3 above), pin 3 is wired to (+) slave (terminal 2 above), and pin 1 is wired to the 0V slave (terminal 1 above)? For the sake of clarity, to reduce interference, pin 1 can be optionally connected to the 9 pin plug body & cable screen? Or since the inverter control unit states this should be connected to its terminal 4 is it adviseable to connect both ends? The cables will only be 1 metre or so long, within a control panel. My appreciation to anyone who is able to confirm / deny the above. Thanks Splitted from PAC 3200 to CM1241 RS485 cable connections. |
