Comms fault response

Hello!!

I have an S120 CU310-PN controlled automated crane system, where I am controlling the cranes through a wifi access point. We have been having issues with wifi interference in the area, and when we do, we get alarm 1910 (fieldbus setpoint time-out) and if the hoist is operating, it drops a small distance before the holding brake is applied. Not much, but enough to worry the operators. I have tried setting the fault response for this to OFF1, but it has no effect. 

If I hit the e-stop while it is running, (which results in the same fault on the drive) the hoist comes to a controlled stop and the applies the brake. This is the response I am after.

Try with OFF3 when alarm trigers & set OFF3 time as per requirement. This will help to get similar response (emergency) which you are expecting.

I have tried OFF3, which we use a 1 sec timer, but still get hoist dropping.

I've looked into it further, the crane uses STO via profisafe, and our safety CPU is on the ground. So when we lose comms to the crane, the drive loses its connection to the safety program, and defaults to STO. We have SS1 functions enabled, but it won't work if we lose the safety program altogether. 

I'm going to have put a request in to change the safety logic if I'm rectify this it seems, which is a very long and arduous process for my company...

Thank you, this is the function I am looking for. Currently I am only using basic safety functions, is there a way I can enable the p9612 function? Or do I have to enable extended functions? I am not sure if I have the correct license.

Thank you for your response, this is exactly what I am looking for. 

We are now preparing to install new regenerative drive units (G120), and I need to know if the same function can be applied to these drives.

We are installing G120 PM250 with CU310-2 PN. I cannot find any information on a similar parameter as p9612 for the G120. Or is it the same because we are using the same CU?
