communiaction with S7-400 and S7-300

kate Regular Member Joined: 3/28/2007 Last visit: 9/19/2007 Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	DEAR ALL, I am commsioning one project in ITC,BANGALORE (INDIA).I am facing one problem where in i want to transfer the data of S7 400 (CPU-416-2DP& CP443-1) to S7 300(CPU315-2DP ) both are standalone CPU's. I want to communicate with ethernet port, Now the problem is i am not allowed to do any changes in S7 400 since it is running plant. Can you suggest me any solution so that i need not touch S7400 STATION. But modification can be done in S7300 STATION. Is it possible by multiproject?if yes please suggest me how to do it. with regard's, kate

You can configure, even without a Multiproject, a S7-Singlesided-Connection from the CP on the S7-300 (not a Lean CP) or the internal PROFINET Interface to the CP or Interface of the S7-400. If you use PUT and GET in the S7-300 you do not have to change any code in the S7-400. You just have to know where to get the information from. So if you do not need a very fast Data transfer and not a large amount of data this could be your solution. Best regards J_Bell

I had configured an S7300 STATION and in netpro i have inserted an iso on tcp connection. in OB1 i have called FB14(Get function block) .But i am not able to recieve the data. J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear Kate, I am sorry, I did not know that you use such an old version of the CP. The CP 343-1 EX 11 is not capable of doing S7-Connections. So you can not use the PUT / GET Functions. What you need is a CP 343-1 EX 21 or newer. With ISO on TCP or ISO Transport you could do Fetch / Write, but this requires changing the Connection configuration on the S7-400, what you do not want, do you? Best regards J_Bell

Best regards J_Bell Maybe I am missing something but if I remember correct you can't configure One-way connection from S7-300 side to S7-400; In other words you have to configure/download the connection at least on S7-400 side. If you configure One-way from S7-400 sidethen S7-300 don't need a download connection (resource 03 TSAP 03.02). Dec
