Actually I am facing a problem while communicating 1214c with CPU317 2pn/dp through CM 1242-5.

In network view I created a profibus connection between the dp ports of the two devices.

Beneath this there is a "CONNECTIONS" tab. I cannot define ID numbers for both the PLCs.

Put and Get Blocks need ID number so I cannot insert any as I am not able to define it. Furthermore in I-slave transfer data Tab I am not able to iset memory bits. Only Input and Output bits are defined.

Any sort of help would be really appreciated as I am not able to communicate via profibus.

In get Block when I assign the partner PLC that is of S71200, my link automatically switches to ehternet and the ID number changes automatically.

Kindly let me know where I am going wrong.
