henno2000 Posts: 177 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have a system when I have 7 IM151-8 PLCs connected over PROFINET. I am wanting to send data between PLCs (Bits, bytes, words, double words). Could someone direct me how to achieve this? Regards, henno2000

In th efollowing is the Open TCP/IP Solution explained, this is for the S7-300 and S7-400 but is also possible with the IM151-8PN/DP. How do you program the communication blocks FB63 "TSEND", FB64 "TRCV", FB65 "TCON" and FB66 "TDISCON" in order to use the TCP protocol for data exchange via the integrated Industrial Ethernet interface of an S7-300 or S7-400 CPU?

Since the IM151-8 is a Server/Client this is the easiest way. Just create a connections and programm your PUT/GET blocks and you should be communicating in a couple minutes,

Bilal Moolla Posts: 133 Rating: (9)	Hi Henno 1. What master PLC are you using? Are you using Siemens or another PLC. If it is SIEMENS I could send you a screenshot of how to configure the harware configuration and show you how to send data across.

If you are using SIEMENS STEP 7, and if you have two masters then you could use the send and recieve blocks. ie the GET/PUT FB14 and FB15 to exchange data. Your hardware configuration has to be set up correctly. I could send you an example of master slave comms between two PLC's
