Dear Sir, I need to connect three s7-300 plc.All the PLC are located at long distances,nearly 2kms.Actually i need to communicate all of this plc through cimplicity SCADA..Cimplicity SCADA have Siemens MPI opc server. My question is that, whether profibus card (cp5611) can communicate through this SCADA are not.Whether Profibus card can run through MPI opc Server are not.I am Attaching some datas,please help me whether this whether this document is correct are not. One more doubt is that what is the distance covered between one profibus repeater to other. I read that Between two repeater the distance covered by MPI is 1000m.what about profibus repeater. Sorry, I don't know. So, you have to find a OPC server which cover Siemens profibus connection. Then this OPC server in Cimplicity scada use CIMPLICITY OPC Client...(read more at GE web page). Are you talking about S7AI/O driver (sorry I can't to open your word file as it is saved with a newer version of office package then mine)? Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

Concerning connection of those three S7-300 PLC - how exactly (what protocol) they will communicate each other? Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

you may use " 6GK1503-3CB00 PROFIBUS OLM/G12 V4.0 "instead of multiple repeaters. |
