communicating with my machine

vlindley1 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Rao DS Hi, I would like to transfer files from PC to 810D via Ethernet port. Can some one give me the settingprocedureto establish communication. Thanks Rao DS I am also interested in communicating with my machine this way. I have a PCU50 and in shopmill it only shows floppy and nc. Will it still work. I also need to be able to send up programs from CAD/CAM programs. Is this possible? And how would I make this happen? Thanks for your help. splitted from Communicating 810D with PC via Ethernet port.

You can also send your part programs but you need share your PC and use a cross cable.... what is the version of PCU50 are you using... You need to go to your windows screen and share the file.. How do we do this.... > When control is Switched on you find a Sinumerik 840D power line screen displayed on this screen below right side bios version displayed for ex:(V08.02.00.06). Immediately press no 3 on the operator panel. > Now you find Service Desktop Screen inthis enter user name:AUDUSERand password:SUNRISE > You will find Windows screen getting open. > go to my computer in that go to F drive in that go to dh directory you will MPF.dir share the folder > ACCESS permission to given full control. > Set the IP address properly on PCU 50 you have 2 Ethernet ports. You can use either of this ports. for ex: default IP address on ethernet port 2 is IP address: 192.168.214.241 subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 set the IP address on laptop /PC/PG IP address: 192.168.214.250 subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 > Check the ping functionality from laptop /PC/PG before proceeding further, the ping should work sucessfully. > Once this is success try copy your CAD/CAM program to your MPF.dir. Now you see in the system side> program> MPF> you will be able to see program here. note:your program file name extension should be .mpf only!!!! Check it out... Regards, Ekalavya
