Hello Look at How can you communicate data between the S7-200 and the S7-300 via PROFIBUS DP? Best regards Hristo Mihalev |

Hello zulca, if I read the manual: S7-200 System Manual and here especially the Appendix A at the chapter EM277 PROFIBUS-DP Module Specifications I find the point User program Considerations. Here you will find the information that the S7-300 and S7-400 is able to access the S7-200 on the PROFIBUS interface by the use of XPUT or XGET functions, as long as the connection on the S7-300 / 400 is being done on MPI. Well, I have to admit that I see no reason why a S7-Connection on a PROFIBUS interface should not work also ... but I have to admit, I never tried it so far. So if you would like to do a try with a CP 342-5 on a S7-300 (DP interfaces on the S7-300 do not support S7 Client functions) or a PROFIBUS DP interface on a S7-400... I would really appreciate any information about your results. Best regards J_Bell |
