Communication b/w CPU417 & Emerson Dcs using modbus

The problem is already we purchased the CP341 module.So i am in a critical condition to shortout this... Could you help me it is possible to acheive this using CP341? Bcoz the requirement is quiet simple only 5 parameters i have to send to the Emerson DCS... Though we offer CP441 the value is high.I have to puchase two CP441 bcoz it is H-system. Am i right ? Awaiting for your reply.......

dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 1/19/2025 Posts: 12330 Rating: (2700)	Hello samkcr; You can use a CP 341 as part of an ET 200M system, as a slave to a S7-400H system, with a loadable Modbus driver.Since you are using a S7-400H system, your I/Os should already be cofigured on ET 200M systems, so simply add the CP 341 to one of the available Et 200M systems. So for this case i have to order modbus slave software with dongle.Am i correct ? If u have some idea sbout how to do the data transfer to the dcs system with this modbus slave configuration plz explain me......... If any sample program available in the forum i will make use of it........
