communication between 2 simulator modules

I need to know the procedure to configure the system such that the first CPU send data to the scond and that the second uses the data given.I have not used a CP card, no ethernet communication. THe 2 CPU's are linked through the MPI port. Please help because the development of this could help in testing of software redundancy. Thanks in advance. \ Grim Reaper.

Hi Grim Reaper, As from S7-PLCSIM V5.4 + SP3 you can use S7-PLCSIM to simulate multiple CPU modules simultaneously in a STEP 7 project and establish communication between the CPU modules. The following communication blocks are supported for communication: SFB8 "USEND" SFB9 "URCV" SFB12 "BSEND" SFB13 "BRCV" SFB15 "PUT" SFB14 "GET" SFB19 "START" SFB 20 "STOP" SFB 22 "STATUS" SFB 23 "USTATUS" & all above Blocks are related to Ethernet only...... & Here you will find Which components are not supported by S7-PLCSIM V5.4 SP3?

I've used FB8(USEND) and FB9(URCV). I'm not sure of how to proceed furthur as I get 1 against the error bit and I get 16#0001as the status word. Also for your information I've used 2 S7-300, 315-2DP CPU's(first one has MPI = 2 an the second has MPI = 3). Is this a constraint?Please help with this. Grim Reaper.

I understood the reason for the communication not taking place, but I am not able to find the remedy for the same. My primary objective is to exchange data between the 2 CPU modules.Please help on this! Grim Reaper.
