communication between beckhoff and S7

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (411)	Hello Marcelpas, I am sorry but MS-DOS is a rather old OS. I fear even Siemens discontinued the MS-DOS Driver more than a decade ago. If you are able to establish a TCP Ethernet Stack on MS-DOS you may use the TCP Stack to send and receive Data from / to the PLC... but everything else will be hard network-wise. You may use serial Connections (RS232)too... have you ever thought about this possibility? Best regards J_Bell

Marcelpas Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	the RS232 solution is a good solution but it is a backup solution for me the best is tough is by ethernet, i have a ethernert tranciever connected on the beckhoff pc and i can see that somthing is send and recieved
