Hi, I have fallowing problem: I have an existing application : three CPUs equipped with CP 343-1 are communicating with PC station where is Simatic Net installed (I import xdb file from NetPro to this station). This station works as OPC server for iFix communication drivers) In NetPro there are S7 connections configured between PC station and each PLC - this is two way communication , active communication partner is PC station The problem is: I want to add one more PLC to this configuration, but i want to use CP 343-1 Lean. In NetPro i can only configure one way sommunication (i can configure connection from PC station site, that is not wisible in CPU site). Is this because CP 343-1 Lean can work as S7 connection - but server only. What does it mean S7 connection - but server only? I can compile this NetPro configuration and import it to PC station, but i am wandering if this will be working - will my SCADA read and write from CPU??? I dont have any CP 343-1 Lean so i an asking for some advice. In attathement you can find some print screens for better explanation. AttachmentCP 343-1 Lean problem.pdf (378 Downloads) |

Hello, I think. It should work because you are using seperate CP lean& new connection from Scada & want to fetch & write data. |

Yes, the CP343-1 Lean only supports S7 communication as a server; Anyway use this kind of configuration -http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/15355168 In your case it will be not 'Unspecified' S7 Connection. You will select the CPU where is placed CP343-1 Lean. Then Ifix client will be read/write to Simatic OPC Server. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

In attachment my view of S7 Connection. Instead of "One Way" there is clearer "Configured at one end". And this is because of CP343-1 Lean. And in this way iFix will read/write to CP343-1 Lean. In case you want to exchange data between CP343-1 and CP343-1 Lean. The connection must be configured in 'basic' CP343-1. And in CPU with CP343-1 Lean is necessary to have one/two DB where the parthner with CP343-1 will read/write usunig PUT/GET. Read therehttp://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/18610307 Best regards, Hristo Mihalev |
