Hello Experts,

We have a issue regarding communication between S7-300 PLC (CPU 313C-2DP) and KTP 600 Basic Color PN.

Problem is the CPU has both DP ports and HMI has only PN port. So we are thinking to get some low cost Profibus DP to Ethernet converter and try to establish communication.

Any suggetions/help from you experts????

But I would look in the Device Manual of the CP if your CPU is compatible with it.

Thera are also Communication adapters from other Companies which you plug on the DP Interface and which can  convert to Ethernet but I haven´t already tested them.

 Thank you everybody for your suggestions. I have checked the compatibility for CP module with our CPU 313-1 serial is 6ES7 313-6CF03-0AB0 and I found it compatible. So if i install CP module then my issue will be resolved i guess.

And I just wanted to know that if I install CP module then i have to do any programming for communication with HMI or not????

No you only have to load the Hardware Config to your PLC and create a new Connection in your HMI Project.

You do not need to use FB or FC for special communication with HMI.
