I am assuming that you are trying to establish a S7 connection via netpro. Unfortunately this is not possible via intelligent slaves. Instead try to use an S7 basic connection as detailed in the following topic. /tf/WW/en/Posts/31875#top |

Hello henno you need to create a so called "S7 connection" in Netpro (ISO, ISO on TCP,TCP and or UDP connections are NOT supported) and I while I "hate" to contradict mumbles, you cando this between twoIM151-8F CPU's and they do support S7 communication (as well as S7 basic communicationso the choice is yours). I hope this helps |

[quote user="henno2000 @ Fritz: Do you have any info/guides/FAQ for the setup? Hello henno2000, have a look at thiese examples and FAQ's(and replace the 300 CPUwith your IM151-8F in the examples): Sample Program: S7 Communication with blocks FB14 ("GET") und FB15 ("PUT") of the CPU 317-2PN/DP How do you program communication blocks FB8 "USEND" and FB9 "URCV" for data exchange on the S7-300? How do you program communication blocks FB12 "BSEND" and FB13 "BRCV" for data exchange on the S7-300? What properties have the communication services and protocols that can be used in the Industrial Ethernet network I hope this helps. |

Dear Henno2000, how about this sample as FAQ: What should you watch out for when configuring an unspecified S7 connection for data communication between an S7-300 and an S7-400? But please be aware that you may not use AG_SEND / AG_RECV for this type of connection. The only usable (S)FBs would be PUT / GET (for single sided configured connections or both sided configured connections) or BSEND / BRECV // USEND / URCV (for both sided configured connections only) Then you are on the save side. Best regards J_Bell P.S.: The use of System FBs instead of FBs depend on the System or interface used. |
