Communication between MP377 and profibus dp slave

And, I have to develop profibus dp slave device which is used profichip(VPC3+S) to support profibus. My question is below. 1. Is it possible to communicate between MP377 and developed profibus dp slave ? 2. If possible, how to add developed profibus dp slave on SIMATIC Manager? and How to add a communication driver in SIAMTIC WinCC flexible ? Thanks.

Hello daegumsoli, If I understand correctly you want to communicate between the MP377 and a DP slave right? No it is not possible, you need a CPU to communicate, otherwise there is an option, read the thread below, and in particular that of our expert Wizard with WinAC. Configurating ET200S (IM151-1 standard) And even your slave is Siemens?

But I am not sure that it is possible to communicate between WinAC MP and my developed device. Many example explained with ET 200S. Another Device is possible if GSD is created? Thanks.

Another Device is possible if GSD is created? Hello, If your device functions when you use a Profibus DP master. It will also be possible to use a MP377 in combination with WinAC MP. (But be aware that it is a mature product) Why do you not use a MP377 and a "small" CPU withProfibus DP master? Best regards, Wizard

Hello daegumsoli, First you should try between a CPU "Master" and your slaves with their GSD file, if it works you can use WinAC, pay attention as you said our Expert Wizard on the thread above WinAC has become "Mature Product"
