How we can communicate with each other?
Which network need to use for communication ?

This is a link to the manual "Communication with Simatic" that covers in detail most of the issues that you want to discuss.

Now, depending on your budget and the anmount of data you need to exchange, there are many possibilities to exchange data between PLCs:
-hardwired signals
Sounds trivial, but it can be done, and many systems I have worked with do exchange interlock or alarm bits this way. One digital output on one PLC connected to a digital input on the other (for each signal exchanged). Cheap, generally easy to setup, but with very low data levels.
-MPI (GD exchanges)
Global Data can be setup between the 2 S7 CPUs over the MPI netwiork, using Profibus cable and connectors, for example, or MPI cable (limited to 5m). The amount of data is low, but there is no programming or function blocks to setup. You simply setup both CPUs in the same Step 7 project, open Netpro (the network configuration editor in Step 7), double -click the MPI network linee and open the GD editor.

-S7 Communications over MPI
Using the MPI ports of the CPUs and XPut/XGet or BSend/BRecv functions, you can setup larger, more flexible communication exchanges

-Profibus-DP
Using either a master-slave connection between the CPU's integrated Profibus interface(one PLC master, the other one as slave) you can transfer up to 244 bytes IN/OUT per exhange cycle;

or you could setup a DP/DP coupler between the 2 Profibus-DP masters.

-Profibus-FDL master to master exchanges
You will need a CP 342-5 and a CP 443-5 in the PLC racks, and program AGSend/AGRecv blocks. Very fast communications, easy to setup.

-Ethernet/Profinet
As you have already a Profinet interface on the CPU 317, you could simply purchase a CP 443-1 for the S7-400, and setup a TCP/IP interchange, with Fetch/Write functions.

These are only a few of the options possible. so, take your time and look at the documents provided, then choose one and study that one in depth....

Dear Sir ,

I am having issue with siemens plc programming .

I want to get the signal from one plc cpu to another plc cpu.

The data block is DB321.DBX232 from the other plc and i want to use as input to my OR gate input.

Please guide to me which siemens programming file need to read .

But again its important to know,

Which PLC type, Which interface, Which software?

If you answered it then only you will get specific solution.

If its PN CPU then Idevice is simple way of communication without any communication instructions.

Only you need to map virtual memory.

At first , thank for the reply.

I am using the siemens plc CPU S7-400 ( 416-3 DP ). Actually i want to add in one  OR gate and output for alarm sounder (24 VDC ).I have 4 water level sensor input from same CPU.

But i need one input signal from different  siemens CPU  ( S7-400 (416-3DP) ).I have difficulty  that is how the data transfer to one CPU to  another CPU. By using DB ( Data Block), i want to add this signal to another CPU by using transfering from DB.And want to know how it can recevied from  other CPU.

Honestly i do not know how to create the DB and transfer the data from CPU to CPU.

Thus why i want  to get some reference book or guide.

I guess you have two S7-400 DP-CPU´s. At least I understand so.

Have a look to page 138 of the suggested manual, see attachment.

for communication with both PLC as master, you need to establish aS7-connection and use the blocks"USEND/URCV"or "BSEND/BRCV"or "PUT, GET"

If you decide to use other blocks, I recommend you to use the SEARCH BOX on the upper right.

Must it necessarily be through TCP/IP?

it would be simpler to use Industrial Ethernet, between the CP 243-1 (for the S7-200) and the CP 343-1 (on the S7-300 rack).

How do you configure an S7 connection for data communication between an S7-200 and an S7-300 or S7-400 on the Industrial Ethernet?
