I got a customer asking if its possible to communicate between S7-1200 and CAN bus. he recently bought a startkit, with S7-1200 CPU, and license. 

Do anyone know if its possible, if so what number do the component have?

In various S7-300 projects we would use a third-party module from HMS to connect to CAN. It was designed to work on the S7-300 bus connector seamlesly but needed to be ordered directly from HMS.

They now seem to have developped a CAN module for the S7-1200 that fits on the S7-1200 rack system:
