Hi forum ,

I need to read data from a Socomec Diris A40 powermeter with rs485 . The problem i am facing is that diris has registers starting at 50001 and my 1215 does not support reading those adresses .
With some random 4xxxx startadresses i receive some data but i can not see what it is. reading other devices is OK.
Is there anyone here who has done this with succes ?
How you did it ?

Did you have communication S7-1200 and TZN series (Autonics) ?

No unfortunately I don't have any experience with Autonics TZN series. The uploaded software is for Socomec Diris A40.

I tried your project, but I get error code 818C " The DATA_PTR parameter has an invalid pointer. Use a pointer to a bit memory area or a DB with the "Standard - compatible with S7-300/400" access type."

How to slove this error code?

P/S; I did uncheck  " Optimized blocks access" in  Socomec_DB .

I am sorry, there is was a bug in the modbus library. I have updated attachment with the bug fix.

Good that you where able to dig out the error code your self, if you uncheck  "Optimized blocks access" for mb_master_ctrl it will most likely also solve the problem, but no way that you could know that. I will anyway recommend the new version because that one runs a bit faster.

Please tell if you should run in to some other problem.

I mean, I did uncheck  "Optimized blocks access" in "mb_master_ctrl " FB (Because We CANOT uncheck  "Optimized blocks access" in instance DB, but the error 818C not solve.

I will try the new version and feed back to you.

I tried new version and I get an other error 8384. How to solve it?

I have some confuse to address in diris A40 modbus mapping, 50XXX is Holding register or input word ?   Did you susscess with your modbus_lib?

Sorry to hear that you still have problems. To read address in the range 50XXX, 400001 need to be added, eg 50007 is 450008. I know 50XXX it's a holding register because I have done modbus rtu communion with a Socomec power unit before. Also mb_master doesn't support reading input-register above 9999.

The program I posted is according to the datasheet in the ling bellow:

According to the datasheet Socomec has made a new addressing map for devices produced after January 2009. You may check if your device is produced before that date? 

Try to add an other query, and read from holding register  1 and see what respond you get? (length 1)

Error code 16#8384 is indicating a respond from the device, so this means that electrical connection, parity and baud rate is correct.

Regarding the library, I am confident that it works.
