First did you verify you are able to read the Energy meter using PC software for Modbus? |

There are many PC software available. You can try Modbus Master as in the attcahment. Modscan software and many trial software which can be used with PC software and USB to serial port cables for connection with PC to the energymeter. if you are directly trying to read the energy meter, you cant be sure whether the energy meter is already sending data or not. so always ensure with a PC software and then connect to PLC after you are sure your energy meter config is right.

Hello Vicky, How do you evaluate the status of system blocks in STEP 7 (TIA Portal)? When RX and TX are constantly on, there is a general error in parameterization / cable. Regards, |
