Dear Gentlemen

In my project S7 1214C+CM1243-5 with KTP700 Basic DP. I have profibus cable connected between CM1243-5 and KTP700. My problem I'm not able to detect the KTP700. in my case 'Type of PG/PC interface' is not active. Photo attached.

Would greatly appreciate any help.

can you describe your Error or Usecase a little bit more detailed?

- Which Versions do you use exactly?

- Do you use a Field PG or a common PC with a Communication processor (CP5711) or a USB DP Adapter? (Which one?)

-> have a look on the termination of  the Profibus connectors...

Thanks for taking the time. There are no errors, actually. I'm faced with some dead ends.. so to speak. Tried searching the manuals.. in vain.

I'm using TIA portal V15. My KTP700 DP Image version: 15.00. CPU: 1214C and CM1243-5. I'm directly connected to the HMI from CM1243-5 via profibus cable. The CPU is connected to a router and I'm able get connected to the CPU- no problem!. I'm using a PC/Laptop,(no communication processor what so ever??) trying to download to the HMI. I've some screenshots..

On the profibus connectors, I'm terminated to the 'in' side on both connectors with the switch in on position.

 To repeat my question, what connection do you have to the Profibus, if you don't hace a CP? Do you have a PC Adapter USB A2 maybe? Because that's what you need, if you don't have a CP in your laptop.

I think now I understand, you want to do a Project transfer over routing (Ethernet -> Profibus).

In This case (the Basic Panels 2nd Generation can do S7 routing Transfer in the newer TIA Versions) -> you have to create a network on the open Ethernet Port in TIA Portal.

Then you open the Extended Download and then you can select the Network you are wanting to load over.
