Communication Between S7300 & S71200 PLC using prifinet

KB_79 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	HI!! I have started newly with S7300 PLC. I want to use S7300 (314C---2PN/DP) as master and S71200 nodes as slave mode. The total S71200 node are 14 nos. As our system is continously in moveable condition; i want to make the communication in Wireless LAN (WLAN) using SCALANCE module. I want to know how the communication could be possible in this network? Also pl inform how to define in the NetPro in SIMATIC Manager. Waiting for the experts comments...... Regards,

Regards, If you are using TIA Portal Pro V11 SP2 for the entire project, you can configure S7_Connection_n's between the S7-300 and S7-1200's. Then you can use GET/PUT to read/write data with a simple instruction. You can also use tcp/ip to send/receive in a generic way and there are examples for the S7-1200 portion of it in the S7-1200/TIA Portal FAQs. If you are using Step 7 and TIA Portal Basic, you will probably settle on Modbus/TCP or TCP/IP using T_SEND/RCV.

Prats Posts: 272 Rating: (4)	hi, I think your solution can be modified using PN io's instead of using 1200 controllers. You will have to use Rapid Roaming Wireless modules as your objects are moving and every object has to allot a bandwidth. AlsoIf you want to use S7 300 andS7 1200 uit is better to opt for TIA Portal V 11 SP2 Professional.

Saradhi Posts: 303 Rating: (3)	main difference is firm ware version with firmware update you can get more functions. just like in v10.5S7-1200 cpuwon't support GET and PUT blocks. from v2.0 S7-1200 cpu support GET and PUT blocks software firmware version TIA portal v10.5 v1.0 TIA portal v11 sp1 v1.0,v2.0,v2.1 TIA portal v11 sp2 v1.0,v2.0,v2.1,v2.2
