Eastern Posts: 557 Rating: (64)	hi if your both the systems are siemens, you can use s7 fault tolerant connection.you does not required to use a TCP connection......try s7 fault tolerant connection. regards

Why both my H Stations should be under the same project?is it because it has communicate with each other or for establishing s7 connection between them or is it possible to communicate even if i develop both projects seperately Attachment netpro.zip (308 Downloads)

Is it correct that your CP443 are not connected to the bus. I can only see the profinet PN I/O on the network. What I think you need is to configure the CPs for the differentto sit on the same Ethernet as the Profinet or on a different Ethernet. But both CPsneed to sit on the same net. You then configure a S7Fault Tolerant connection between both the systems. Both PLCs need not be on the same project.But they have to be on the samemultiproject. This is required to ensure the consistency in the network addresses. Hopethis helps. Let us know how it works. Krish

Hi Sindhu When you are doing an S7 connection I think it uses the MPI/Profibus connection. But we have always used the CP443 for the S7fault tolerant connection. In our case the connection is established over TCP/IP. I am not sure (rather I don´t know whether it can work on the Profibus directly). In my opinion, if you really want to make it with S7 Fault Tolerant , insert a Ethernet Network between the 4 CPs (2 for each PLCs). You can then use normal AG_SND,AG_RCV.If you really don´t want to do that, use the S7 connection between the CPUs through Profibus and use GET /PUT to realise the data transfer. You may have to do some of the redundancy check and switchover through software. My preference would be for the first option. Krish

HI
On your S7 Connection their is no error, only 1 warning is their due to,you have not networked you
SIMATIC HMI STATION(1) ON "IF 1B MPI/DP"....when you will network you will not get any warning after compling...
