I am following this document of Siemens DP/DP coupler: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1179382 I have tested in Siemens TIA v12, but I cannot establish the interface between the two networks. I have attached the archive of the test. Can anyone point me out what is wrong? Thanks Attachment Teste.zip (126 Downloads)

So I cannot see anything from your archive. Please give us screenshots of the hardware configuration of the DP/DP coupler on each of the DP-masters in your networks, generally this is where problems start with this type of equipment. Remember that you must have exactly the same amounts of data exchanged at every configured slot of the coupler, but reversed for each network: Inputs to the first netorkbecome outputs in network 2, outputs in network 1become inputs in network 2. I have attached a print screen of the network. I would like to interconnect, in profibus 3, the slave_1/Slave_2/PLC_1. When I try to connect the PROFIBUS connector, the module (slave_1 or slave_2) disconnects itself from the PROFIBUS 1 or 2. Thanks, Bruno Attachment Communication modules.pdf (119 Downloads)

Is this the case? If yes, there are entries in the diagnostic buffer of the cPU and the slave pointing to the reasons for this behaviour. You can share them here on the forum if you save them (As Text...), we might be able to help you understand the reasons for the network problems. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

Do not have the hardware to test it. When I stated that when I connect on connector of the slave to the PROFIBUS 3, this is done in the software and not in real world. Sorry if I was not clear to you.
