Communication between WinCC 6.2 server & RS View server

G2481 Posts: 31 Rating: (0)	Hi, In our project, I have to collect some data from RS View server (Allen Bradley SCADA) to our WinCC server. In which format I can collect that data? WinCC support which format? 1) RS view is sending that data in .xls / .txt / .doc / .dbf file format. > How I can access that file in WinCC & store it? > How to decode that data? > Which format is easy to access & decode? 2) If I have to pickup that data from RS View storage location and store it in WinCC then which setting I have to do in WinCC? Is there any alternative or easiest way to collect data from RS View 32 or third party SCADA? Thanks in advance Gaurav

For more informations read the Manual: "WinCC Information System -> Communication -> OPC Channel" The IndustrialDataBridge is an option tooffer some possibilities around run time-data of WinCC to in / export or to produce a communication between several OPC servers. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/19724087 best regards

G2481 Posts: 31 Rating: (0)	thanks for reply. Is it possible to save data which RS view HMI is sending in .XLS, .DBS, .TXT file format in our WinCC server? Is it possible to import & decode data in .XLS (any one in above format which is easiest)file format?
