Hello G34; Asking the same question with as little information again will bring you nop new information. You cannot use the CP 525 to connect to a Siemens HMI. To try and clarify the issue, look at the Siemens WinCC Flexible HMI communication manual, along with the sreenshot below exmining the possible links between a S5 CPU and your MP 277: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/18797552 Now, if you examine the table below, you will see that no serial CP can be used with your MP 277, only Profibus and/or AS 511, the programming port protocol of the S5 CPUs. And if you choose to connect through AS 511 so you will need a TTY to RS-232 converter cable: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/21923974 The only thing I can suggest is to create a connection between the cPU and the HMI with either of the defined networks, and transfer the data that used to be sent to the printer through the CP 525 directly to the HMI program. But then you have to understand what that data is, where it is located in the S5 program and when the sends are triggered. A lot of work, I fear. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
