communication delphi 7 and S7 200

From Prodave You need to import one dll library in which all functions for connecting and exchaning data with PLC are stored. It is also possible to connect with S7200 PLC. It is also possible to use OPC server (software which allows communication with i.e. S7200 PLC). Siemens has such software: "S7-200 PC Access". I did not used this software but I think that it is possible to "mix" it with Delphi. Regards, BB

Reuben Posts: 70 Rating: (13)	Hi I use BDS 2005 (Delphi 9) and some OPC components I made to talk to the SIMATIC NET OPC Servers and the PC Access for S7-200. I find the OPC link works very nicely as you can browse all DB and symbol data in the S7-300 program without having to do much more than click a few checkboxes. You can find Delphi translations of the OPC type libraries at the OPC foundation web site - I think it is www.opcfoundation.org. Feel free to contact me if you'd like more detailed information. Sleepkill Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	On S7-4xx ist possible to get up til >100KB/Sec. data with native Delphi/Indy S7 protokol using 4 connections. With only one connect ist about 40KB/Sec. For the new PLC's you need define the DB's old style so bits are not packed but uses like I said "old style" alignment.
