Communication different types of PLC to a central SCADA (WinCC Explorer)

spear_t Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hii everyone, I am new to Siemens and I have to send a system architecture to the client and I would be requiring your expertise real urgently. The system architecture consists of Siemens S7-300 & S7-200 series CPUs and some 3rd party PLCs or Local Control Panel. All these PLCs are going to connect to a WinCC Explorer which we are proposing to give as Central SCADA. For Siemens PLCs, I am planning to add a CP343 and CP243 ethernet modules in the existing racks to get the data required. I would want to know if this is possible. For 3rd party devices, I am in more of a dilema as I am not sure whether the SCADA would support these PLCs and what protocol to use to get the data. I am attaching a document containing the list of PLCs, with the non-Siemens PLC marked in yellow. Please provide suggestion to my queries above. Looking forward to a quick reply. Siemens release these docs with every wincc version. Pick the one you need and read it. Very good description in them.
