MatsNil Posts: 46 Rating: (4)	Hello everyone. Setup: TIA Portal v13 Upd2 PLCSIM v13 CPU-1513-1 Having problems simulating functions with PLCsim. I am able to run the simulation for around a few minutes, then when i try to go online inside the blocks to monitor code execution, I get the following error: Connected to PLS, address IP=192.168.1.10.,8/20/2014,8:20:12 AM Internal system error (error code: 0xC000AF0700008081) - Please contact SIMATIC customer support.,8/20/2014,8:21:34 AM An unexpected error has occurred.,8/20/2014,8:21:34 AM Communications error (error code 0xC000AF0700008081): -32639,8/20/2014,8:21:34 AM After this PLCsim needs to be restarted for simulation to work again. Also under Online Tools it seems the scan Cycletime has surpassed 640ms as to my defined area of 20ms-150ms. Anyone had this problem before?

MatsNil Posts: 46 Rating: (4)	Yes, I have also contacted Siemens Support regarding the matter and updated to Upd 4. Still the problem persists. I'm putting it out here to see if anyone else experiences the problem or if it's a local problem on my PG. Additional findings: It seems the communication only crashes when i try to go online and monitor the program code (SCL). Whenever i monitor DBs,Watchtables or LAD programs, it works fine. But as soon as I start poking around inside the code, the communication halts.

But i've now got a hold of a PLC and the program is running fine on it. I am not seeing the same behaviour as on the simulated PLC. I'm thinking there might have something to do with resources in the PG itself. The program is to big to simulate maybe. I'm discussing the issue with Siemens Support. Will report back the findings..

I also suspect it is something like the program is too big to simulate effectively. Please refer to the simulation software restrictions. If for example you are using the built in web server, the documentation I read said the web server is not available during simulation. Perhaps there is something about the problem you are having as something not supported. If it says it is supported and it does not work and you have the recommended or suggested amount of RAM available and are not using it to run say outlook, web browser, instant messaging, notepad, and a host of other processes that steal resources and memory from Portal, then submit a Support Requestto alert them of the problem. Archive and submit your project, the windows version, RAM, and let them reproduce the problem. If the problem goes away by selected the default language (Deutsch, or maybe English), then tell them that as well. If you have a local distributor with Siemens hardware for mini courses and technical hands-on, maybe you can visit them or they can bring it to you for a short term loan, you can try out your logic using their borrowed hardware.

The answer I got from Siemens support was they do not have a complete list of error codes, and the one that was produced in my instance might be related to a specific project block. I was asked to make a reproducible scenario, but I just have not got the time to pursue this issue right now. I'll have to come back to it at a later stage.

laurens23 Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	any news? I'm having the same issues. Tried several different 1500PLC's, even with some very small and basic code I get this error all the time. Initially the simulation works fine, but when working on the SCL code and then trying to "Download to Device" it will crash ~20% of the time. I hope I don't need a re-install. I'm working in a remote office in another country from our IT.

kavelj22 Posts: 30 Rating: (2)	Somebody got any answer from siemens regarding this problem. I have the same problem with my PLC1500 with PLC SIM. I only have some basic code inside, just few blocks. Best regards.
