I'm having a similar problem with an S7-1200 PLC, in particular: Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 CPU 1214C DC/DC/DC, 6ES7 214-1AE30-0XB0, FW=V2.2 When I power up the system I can see the RUN/STOP & ERROR LEDs along with all the digital output LEDs flashing at a very high frequency. Also all LEDs are much dimmer than I usually see. I powered off the system, installed the MMC and powered back on the system but that nothing has changed. I cannot communicate with the PLC via ethernet connection (tried two separate ethernet cables). The local area connection in windows shows ‘network cable unplugged’ indicating no comms available. At the PLC next to the ethernet connection I can see no LEDs illuminated, suggesting there is an issue with the PLC. I know there's no issue with the ethernet port of my laptop as I was using it with another PLC recently. I done the usual checks like setting a static IP address etc. I measured 23.25V across the M and L+ terminals at the PLC 24V input. The PLC requires 24V to operate but I’d imagine that 23.25V would be sufficient. can anyone confirm this? 23.25V was measured at the same terminals to all I/O modules also. I powered off the system, disconnected all I/O and comms modules to the PLC then powered back on the system. This test was to isolate the fault to the PLC. There is no change in the state of LEDs or ethernet communications, so it could well be a faulty PLC. Does anyone have an idea how I could resolve this issue as it's put a stop to commissioning a system on site

Hi,
did you try to reset your s7-1200 to factory settings? You can do this without PLC. Please try this FAQ: How can you delete the IP address and reset your S7-1200 to factory settings using the SIMATIC MC memory card (2MB or 24MB)? https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/40588092
Good luck, Towome |
