I want to know how many Slaves(maximum) Can be connected to this module? i refered the S71200 System manual technical Specification but didnot found any details for no of slaves? Thanks in advanced.

0_Einstein Diamond Member Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 3/21/2025 Posts: 15745 Rating: (2490)	I believe the max is 31 addresses, though I can assure you if you wish to communicate with all 31, you will likely have problems getting all that to fit into a single S7-1200 PLC. Very limited in that respect but not bad for 3 or 4 slave devices. I tried 5 and ran out of load memory with the more complicated sequencing I needed to handle all the data comms.

Marianini Member Joined: 4/15/2010 Last visit: 1/11/2018 Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi Amit_86, If you work with Modbus RTU instructions, you can access from 0-247 in standard mode.In USS you can control up to 16 devices.In freeport mode you can program your own protocol... but that's not the best choice. Zunar Posts: 60 Rating: (6)	I also had difficulty finding information about electrical charactaristics of the driver circuitry. The EIA RS-485 specification states that up to 32 devices may participate on the physical network. I am certain this device complies to this specification.
