Communication of CP341 with Honeywell Terminal Server

aimakhija Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	We have a S7 300 PLC with CP341 for Modbus Slave communication with Honeywell Terminal server. We are using a Nport IA 5150-S-SC for Modbus to fiber and a MOXA -IMC101 for fiber to ethernet. This then goes into the L3 switch in the Honeywell terminal server. I am using the NPORT as a terminal server and can read the Analog Registers but am having a Problem reading the Digitals in Modscan. It is giving me a modbus exception error. The memory addresses which I have defined are from 001 to 192 for the reading of Discretes. Let me know what I can check at my end to confirm the same.

Mr.Iyer Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi you have to check the communication at different levels so i under stand the scope with which you can carry forward is till the ethernet converter. so connet the mod scan parllel to the honeywell system or your cp341 system and see the traffic. you can analyse the packet structure if the same is going right you have to move tot he second stage with the converter.
