Communication problem CP341 with DF1 DataHighway

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear vlefkos, the DF1 Protocol supports only RS 232 or RS 422, so you will have to use one of these Interfaces with an adequate cable. Best regards J_Bell

vlefkos Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	To analyze my problem, I have an Allen-Bradley SLC 500 plc and with CP341 try to communicate serial with SLC 5/03 cpu. The serial cable I use is a null modem cable (pins 2-3, 3-2, 5-5), I tried with standard serial cable without any success. I made a program in STEP7 with P_SEND_RK and P_RCV_RK blocks. I’m trying to read some integer registers from Allen-Bradley (with definition N) but in my blocks there are no N definition in R_TYP so I put ‘X’. In monitor I see that these blocks send and receive to Allen-Bradley cpu (I understand this because I have DONE=1 and ERROR=0 in both blocks). My problem is the data I read is not the same with the data I want to read, so I figure that either something wrong in my configuration either I need something to configure to Allen-Bradley side to send me the correct data. Any help with this? Regards, V.

About the other issue about the driver I have to say that it is much more useful to contact the Customer Support aboutthis because it is more than difficult to answer such questions withina Forum like this.
