Communication problem CPU 417 by PG SIEMENS.

gre_m Posts: 947 Rating: (45)	If you will the download s7-programm, you will need to adjust the settings S7Online (type of interface: MPI or Profibusand exchange rate: tyical 187.5 for MPI, 1,5Mbod for Profibus). As variant you can select"auto". If you needexchange data, you should use Netpro and configure connection.

Can anyone help me? Best regards. Hi Automatil2, Can you tell me How you are commincating with CPU 417, (MPI, Profibus or Ethernet)? then as per that you have to defined in the Set PG/PC interface.. MPI :- CP5611 (MPI) Profibus :- CP5611 (Profibus) Ethernet :- Ethernet card name TCP/IP or ISO on TCP/IP

Hi Automatil2 first you must connect PC adapter to the MPI port of plc second go to PG/PC and set that as step7-----> PC Adapter(MPI) third open the project by simatic manager and click on the Accessible Node if you connect properly the accessible node show the nodes and addresses and if not you must go to PG/PC and set the address and baud rate and at last check the pcdapter dip switch was been match by the baud rate that you define. although in USB PC adapter there is no need to set DIP switch
