My client have metalizer system with plc CPU 416-2 PCI (6ES7 616-2QL10-0AB4) and scada with third party, 

problem : system working  but occasionally  communication problem occur and continue remain till pc restart 1 or 2 times.

i cant under stand why this happen? please share your suggestion at here...

• What type of communication are you using? (Profibus/Ethernet/Other)
• What is your network topology?
• What is the distance between nodes in your network?
• What is used inside the PC to connect to the network?
• Do you have your communication cables laid beside power cables?
• Do you have sources of interference/harmonics new your network or communication devices?
• Did you try to just re-install windows and all the software? it works sometimes and maybe as simple as that.

Hello ANKURGAMIT,

Communication problems are very hard to be solved remotely.

The main effort will be on your side.

Do you really have star topology in a Profibus network?

Can you send us your network architecture?

How many spur lines do you have?

What are the length of spur lines?

What's network baud rate?

When network fails, are you still able to open your PC and check your communication processor (you didn't mention which one you have)?

As a usual measure in random Profibus problems, check network installation (earthing, termination, connectors, cable routes, cable lengths,..etc. )

I think you need to read the Profibus installation & commissioning guidelines.

Do you notice any particular Bit / Data transfer  or any logic or anything while you lost the communication ?  

I mean the communication lost happens on some particular intervals or on some particular logic ?

 i havent any notice at there because there is no any fix time period,some time it happen in two times per week or some time no problem till more than one month,

so  i am very confuse where is problem?
