Communication problem

gerd.malcom Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi there all I have a problem with communication. System is based on 315 2DP CPU 2AG10-0AB0 v2.6.6, with one IM 153-3 module and two S7-200 slaves. System is connected via profibus 1.5 M (OLM modules). Now, I have the system runnin, communication with 153-3 module is ok, and so is comm with the 12 inch touch panel, but I cant get the link with S7-200 slaves... Tried everything, both slaves are identical, with the address on the S7 200 dp modules beeing the only diference. The sotware in S7-200 is also tested and works 100 %. When I go online in HW config, I can se only one of the slaves, the other one constantly reporting "Module configured, but not available, Preset/actual ismatch: (inserted and configured module types are not the same) : Expected type : DP slave (6ES7 277-0AA2.-0XA0), Current type: Not available) WIch makes no sence, since both slaves are identical... I've tried switchin DP modules, ant still the same... I can see only one phisical Slave (tried switching the adress, and in hardware config it is either slave 1 or 2 that is vissible, phisiclly allways beeing the same one that I can see)... As soon as I connect the other slave to the profibus, i have a red DP eror flashing... Check the profibus addresses, and there are no conflicts... The other problem is that with the slave modul that I can see in HW config, and have a green DP light on, the PIWs in S7-300 are all empty... and that should not be the case... For copying I use the basic --> L PIW xxx, T dbxx.dbwxx) Tried the same software on the table in the lab, (with the identical HW config and S7-200 software and the comm is ok, just cant get it running on site... Optical network is connected properly, and no error is shown on any OLM module... One other thing, in HW config, I have set CPU as 315 2DP CPU 2AG10-0AB0 v2.6, but when downloading the config into a CPU, it said that online module has v2.6.6 firmware, version wich I cant see in my list even after the last update (done half an hour ago) (I have V5.4 + SP3, revision level 5.4.3.0 Step 7 software installed)... Thx for the help //// Well that was situation this morning, I have a little update.. system fault error has been solved... software was the same, but PLC-s weren't, (two 224s, but diferent revisions) so it caused a system fault... I've reduced I/O offset in V memory from 5000 to 1000 and that solved the problem... But i'm stil geting only zeroes in Master PIWs... Checkt the output bytes in DP slaves, and they are normaly filled with data... Well, if I'm not wrong, if the hardware config is ok (and it seems to be, no system or bus faults) then comm should be ok... Comm. block from microWin LD PLC_RUN MOVD &VB0, AC0 +I SMW226, AC0 MOVD AC0, VD3000 BTI SMB228, LW0 +I LW0, AC0 MOVD AC0, VD3064 LDB> SMB228, 64 MOVB 64, VB3200 NOT MOVB SMB228, VB3200 LDB> SMB229, 64 MOVB 64, VB3202 NOT MOVB SMB229, VB3202 LDB= SMB224, 2 BMB VD3000, VB4064, VB3200 BMB VB4000, *VD3064, VB3202 With the correct HW config in master, this alone should be enough to fill PIWs in the Master, and yet, all I'm reciveing are zeroes...

jklm Platinum Member Joined: 12/22/2006 Last visit: 1/25/2022 Posts: 1742 Rating: (306)	Hello, You tell that you always the same physical interface. I believe the second one is defective. You can use your PG/PC interface to detect if the interface is defective, without using the CPU and any configuration. Connect directly to the slave (via MPI cable for instance or a point tot point profibus cable), go to the PG/PC settings, set it to Profibusand go to diagnostic. You can start the detection of connected devices there. The slave must answer Latest downloadable software version for STEP7 is V5.4 SP4 (not SP3). There is also a DVD with SP5. The third index of the CPU version is never listed in the HW Catalog. So 2.6 is OK for 2.6.5 or 2.6.6 and so on.

(http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/36184684 ). Then make hardware update with downloading last HSP. Of course all connectors and cable shoud be installed properly. And you didn't said nothing about distances between master and slaves... Hope this will helps. Best regards Hristo Mihalev
