Communication Problem

Raza Jafri Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi to all Experts! I am working on a University Student Project, that is, communication between S7-400 and S7-300 CPUs via Profibus Protocol. Distributed I/O is also attached to S7-400 CPU. There are two problems in this project: 1. Unable to get *.gsd file for CP 342-5 2. Unable to establish communication between the two PLCs The detailed Product Info and Configurations is given below: CPU 412-2DP (Using as Master) Product: 6ES7 412-2XG00-0AB0 Version 3.0 CPU 314 IFM (Using as Slave) Product: 6ES7 314-5AE00-0AB0 CP 342-5 Product: 342-5DA01-0XE0 Distributed I/O: Product: ET 200B 16 DI/16 DO Kindly guide me in order to establish a communication link via profibus protocol. Here the CP342-5 is used as an additional Profibus Master on the bus. This also the default mode of the CP. Justcreate in Netpro an S7 connection between both systems And use S7 functions like PUT, GET, ... 2) make theS7-300 Profibus DP slave slave of the S7-400. In the HWconfig of the S7-300 you define operating mode of the CP as "slave" (default is master). You add in HWconfig the S7-300 as slave of the S7-400. Look in the Profibus folder for "configured station" with CP Solution 1 seems me the most straight forward.
