babakzibaei Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hi i have a problem in communication between cpu313c-2DP and wincc(cp5611 A2 MPI) question is: in HW confige in simatic manager, do i use simatic pc station for cp5611 A2 or PG/PC (in NET PRO)?

babakzibaei Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hi hardware: cpu313c-2DP(313-6CG04-0AB0) CP5611 A2 steps: 1- simatic manager> HW confige by cpu 313c-2DP(blocks used:OB1/OB100/FB1/FC1/DB1) 2- putting simatic pc station in NETPRO and cp5611 A2 by MPI network connected to cpu 3-WINCC configuration(tag managment>simatic s7 protocol suite>MPI connection 4-control panel>PG/PC interface>cp 5611 A2(MPI) 5- wincc runtime 6-cpu> run mode result: in wincc,when i take mouse pointer on MPI connection show disconnected. indeed i made my own MPI cable.(i used pin 3 and 8 and 1) is it possible my MPI cable not proper? thank you so much

Well first you do not need to use netpro for this application. 1. From your PG/PC or laptop you need to establish communication to Step7. For this go to PG/PC interface in and select MPI. 2. Go to property of MPI and select Pg/PC is master on the bus. Select the Bus speed to 187.5 kpbs. 3. address say 0 4. now go to diagnostics and say read function. you see the address that is connected to 5611 card. you should see two address one is 5611 and another of CPU. 5. press test you should recive ok. 6. in wincc go to s7 protocol suite. right click and say property.check the station address. 7. right click on MPI and select system parameter. go to unit tab and select the logical device name. I hope your clear. do tell us about the result.

Hi, self-made cable andcommunication networks are very uncertain. MPI is a subset of PROFIBUS. PROFIBUS requires special cable (not only the connectors and resistors for longer distances). Also the impedance is important of the used cable etc. The Test which is described from Taglover is very important. Please report results of steps above. Click also on READ button to see the MPI Address of PLC. This test is a low level test; this will not guarantee if the communication will safely work if network load increases in case of running WinCC. I suggest using correct and original cable for test!

babakzibaei Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hi i have important question: my communication card is CP5611 A2 with order number 6GK1561-0AA01 that used in pc but in HW confige i could not find this order number even after catalog update,then i used order number 6GK1561-0AA00 instead of 6GK1561-0AA01. i read that CP5611 A2 works with 6GK1561-0AA00, properly. is it correct?
