Master CPU is S7-300 and there are four S7-1200 as local CPUs. Also, there are four HMI (Model KTP600) for each CPU (S7-1200). I want to establish a TCP/IP communication between my CPUs and HMIs. Let me explain detail. I want put a conventional Hub Switch (Same as D-Link type) and connect all devices too this switch; Similar to the following description: Port 1 on Hub Switch= S7-300 Port 2 on Hub Switch= S7-1200-1 Port 3 on Hub Switch= HMI-1 (For monitoring S7-1200-1) Port 4 on Hub Switch= S7-1200-2 Port 5 on Hub Switch= HMI-2 (For monitoring S7-1200-2) Port 6 on Hub Switch= S7-1200-3 Port 7 on Hub Switch= HMI-3 (For monitoring S7-1200-3) Port 8 on Hub Switch= S7-1200-4 Port 9 on Hub Switch= HMI-4 (For monitoring S7-1200-4) I want monitor CPU S7-1200-1 via HMI-1, CPU S7-1200-2 via HMI-2 and … Also I want make a communication between S7-300 (Master CPU) and all of the local CPUs (four S7-1200). With TIA portal V10.5 you would use HMI connections between the S7-1200 PLCs and the HMIs and then use open user communications (TSend, Trcv, etc...) to transfer data between the S7-300 and the S7-1200s. With TIA portal V11 professional you will be able to set up S7 connections between the S7-300 and S7-1200's and then use GETs and PUTs to transfer data.

bakerjw Posts: 126 Rating: (18)	You can have up to 8 open user connections per S7-1200 PLC. There is a limit on HMI connections for the S7-1200. You can also use any switch or hub for open user connections
