I think you can't link a s7-200 PLC optical. Only Ethernet by CP243. |

Hello Titan; It might be possible over Profibus (using EM 277 modules) and Profibus OLMs: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/30006392 Since the S7-200 EM 277 can only act as a Profibus-DP slave, the SVP PLC would have to be programmed as a Profibus-DP master to initiate read/write exchanges; therefore it must be at least a S7-300, the S7-200 and S7-1200 cannot operate as a master on Profibus. How important is cost in this application? What are the distances involved between CPUs? This would impact the type of optical fiber and OLM. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
