Communication S7-300 with WinCC v6.0SP3 interrupts.

Andrzej Posts: 23 Rating: (1)	Hello What is a problem when communication/connection S7-300(CPU317-2DP) with WinCCv6.0 SP3 by TCP/IP interrupts. Program is running at PLC and on WinCC runtime values blinking, they shows and go out periodically. In WinCC Channel Diagnostic when is it disconnected there is: First Error Code : D801 Last Error Code : D801 Thanks for response.

Salma Gold Member Joined: 9/27/2005 Last visit: 11/27/2007 Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	I would recommend looking in the S7 Communications Log file first of all to determine what (if any) errors are occurring. I've seen similar problems when the PLC firmware is out-of-date or the connection resources are all used up. The log file can be found in the Diagnose directory along with all other WinCC log files. The Diagnose directory can usually be found under C:\Program Files\Siemens\WinCC\Diagnose. You can then look up the error codes in the WinCC manual to find out why the communications are being interrupted. Might be worth logging this one as a support call too so that all the right questions are asked at the start of the process. Regards, Salma
