Communication SCALANCE X101-1 and Cisco Switch

The LED P2 is permanent green(Link ok but no communication). Port on Ciso switch is configured for 100 MBit/s What can be the problem?

olloy Silver Member Joined: 8/27/2010 Last visit: 4/13/2024 Posts: 417 Rating: (37)	Hi! Check your Cisco switch settings. Make sure port 102 is open and profinet is supported (!!!) Check the table number 3here. By default, in most cases, pot 102 is closed and therefore S7 communication is not possible. For test, you can connect usual hub and try to establish conection.

I cannot find any information regarding Profinet messages there. All i know definately, that most of managed switches disallow you to use port 102 by default. Try to set your switch in unmanaged mode. And last, but not least, try to forward the 102 port.
