Communication via CP 343-1 Lean - Problem with Put and Send

Jesper Pedersen Posts: 279 Rating: (30)	Hi fly. You cannot use PUT/GET with the CP343-1 LEAN. You have to use FC5 AG_SEND / FC6 AG_RECV from the SIMATIC_NET_CP library. If you haveset this up already, and it does not work, then you can investigate4 things. Youmust setup a connection of type TCP between the two CPUs. Save and compile and download to both PLCs. The most typical goofup is to use the wrong LADDR address. It must be specified in hexadecimal. Example: If the CP343-1 has been assigned theaddress 256 in the HW config, then you shall set LADDR to W#16#100 (100 hex = 256 decimal). If that is OK, then connect both CP343-1 modules and you PC to the same network via a switch. Then check that you can ping both CP343-1 modules. If that is OK, then investigate the error code that is returned from FC5.

The S7-300 could be also for S7 connections only a Server. For comunicating with S7 connections you need at least somewhere a Client. Between servers you could use the older connection type ISOonTCP with as mentioned FC5 and FC6.

I found sometihing about diferent types of conection, but what about the type of CPU, if you checkit the performance data of te 313C-2DP CPU, see that the function blocks that you are toll me, they don't support by the CPU, I don't habe any problem whit te 315-2DP CPU, because that CPU support this kind of function blocks (AG_SEND / AG_RCV), additionally if you checkit the catalog for the specification data of CPU, it tell anything about it..... so...........I'm not shure but I thing that the problem is that the 313C-2DP CPU don't support that king of communication, because the firnware of the Compact CPU don't support this kind function blocks for TCP or S7 Communication, just for Profibus or MPI Communication..... in my opinion I have to change the 313C/2DP CPU by one 315-2DP because that communication is test ok. Qustions: What kind of comunnication have to do???? 1. S7 Communication 2. TCP ( I configured this communication) What kind of blocks coudl set on the user prograqm???, taking acount the CPU Types ( 313C-2DP and 315-2DP)???????? 1. ?????????? AG SEND etc.................................... 2. ?????????? X PUT etc............................................. and if you have an aditional information diferent of the manual colection or cp's manual please I thaks a lot.... Hi, The S7-300 supports S7 communication via the FB14/15 "GET/PUT, FB12/13 "BSEND/BRCV" or FB8/9 "USEND/URCV" function blocks. It works via: the integrated PN interface with the function blocks from the Standard Library -> Communication Blocks. CPs with the function blocks from the SIMATIC_NET_CP library. FC5/FC6 could be used with TCP communication. With two CP343-1 Lean the GET/PUT, BSEND/BRCV would not work.....

fly Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Does it mean, that I have to change the ones of the CP or both of then. the real problem is whit the CP's not whit the CPU, if you know the library simatic on the Simatic manage, everything is ok becous the CP's are for S7 400 and I want to tell you, the properties for that kind of CP's are diferent not only on the Netpro so in the user program parameters too. if you have information about the limitation of the CP 343-1 Lean that support your anwsers it was beter for me, becaus remenber that I need to tell my client that the CP's are the problem or CPU's are the problem and Why!!!!!!! ok, I want you know that I read a lot for problem but maybe you have have something that I didn't see waithing for your anwers Fly..............

You could use FC5/6 with TCP-connection without changing a CP343-1 Lean, only PUT/GET and BSEND/BRCV will not work. Read the handbook of the CP343-1 Lean and look on the next page for more information. Which types of connection/protocols are supported as standard by S7-300/400 CPUs and the CPs?

With AG_SEND/AG_RECV and a TCP type connection, you can exchange data via the two CPUs via the CP343-1 LEAN modules you have already. You find the two blocks in the already mentioned library, and then copy them to your STEP7 project. Your CPUs will work with these library blocks. You setup a communication as described, and if it does not work you investigate the points mentioned.

fly Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	ok i will try again, but what about that I toll you the firmware of the 313C / 2DP don't has the AG_SEND & RCV, I worked wiht AG BLOCKS but wiht two 315-2DP and CP's 343-1 lean and everything it was ok, but whit 313-2DP it doesn't work.... maybe I need more support...... best reagards fly.............

So you need to copy themFC5 and FC6from the "Simatic_Net_CP" Librarythat is installed with STEP7... If you look on the propertys you will see that they are using SFC58/59 for FC5 (AG_SEND) and SFC59 for FC6 (AG_RECV)are used. Every CPU have this SFC's....
