Communication With JBUS

Pravin Patil India Posts: 22 Rating: (0)	Dear All, I am designing one system with S7-400H CPU 414H & I/O's on ET200M IM151 Redudant bundle. I need to communicate with UPS & genrator panel to read & display different values on SCADA. The Protocol provided by UPS panel Manufacturer is ModBus RTU. To comply the same I considered CP 341 With Modbus Master Driver. The protocol provided by Genrator Panel Manufaturer is JBUS. My question is that Which CP & Driver I should consider to comply the communication? regards Praveen Patil

Hello Pravin;
JBus and Modbus RTU are mostlytotally compatible, there is only a slight difference in the addressing offsets. For example, Modbus Function 3 accesses registers 40000 and up, JBUS Function 3 will start at 40001.
Simply configure your Modbus master to query the JBUS slave following the Modbus-RTU slave, and treat them both the same. You should have no problems.

99% Modbus compatible.
