Communication with Siemens LMV51 Burner

Hello to everybody,

I need some help regarding establishing the communication with Siemens LMV51 Burner over AZL5 control unit.

I am using PLC 416-3 DP and ETS00M with PROFINET and at the moment my plan is to use DO signals to start the burner and AO signal to control the load of the Burner, but in order to get some diagnostic from the burner I what to establish communication to AZL5 Control unit.

My question would be does any body know how to get some data from AZL5 since it is using MODBUS and to integrate it in data network??

Is there any converter between MODBUS/PROFINET and is there any GSD file for AZL5 that I could insert into my PROFINET network to send/receive data from AZL5?

you can communicate with LMV51 by using modbus protocol thats mean you have to convert the PROFIBUS or ETHERNET To modbus to make the communication

Thank you for the answers, they were very helpfull.

We decided to use in our configuration S7-1200 as a gateway. Later we would like to import it to our PROFINET as a slave, but this openes another set of questions.

Mistery for me is the IO telegram that I send and receive from the Burner.

If someone knows or if has an example it would be a big help.

some things to deal with :

maximum 20 registers can be read per sequence.

In the manual the registers starts at 0 , in fact that is holding register 40001 for your PLC.

We did it also with a S7-1200 and a modbus RS232 to modbus TCP converter , delivered from weishaupt
