Communication with STEP7 through STEP7 Symbol Server in WinCC v6.2

Supreame Posts: 27 Rating: (1)	Hello, I want to acces the STEP7 Symbol Table from WinCC with the aid of STEP7 Symbol Server. I have a S 300 PLC connected on MPI interface. In WinCC I see the STEP7 Symbol Server but it's EMPTY - there aren't any tags!. What are the settings (in WinCC & STEP7) for a successfull comunication? PS: I installed all the Communication options & Basic Proces Control on WinCC installation. WinCC was installed after STEP7. I read the "IntegrationS7.pdf" (from WinCC documentation) but there is no information about how to establish communication. They describe only the way you can select the tags from STEP7 Symbol Server - the only probem is that I don't have any tags to select ... Any advise for this matter is wellcomed! Many thanks!

Khaled_Ezzat Silver Member Joined: 9/7/2007 Last visit: 8/30/2023 Posts: 550 Rating: (61)	Hi Supreame I think that you have Integrated the WinCC Project in the SIMATIC Manager, so I do not know ifyou set some parameters in the SIMATIC NetPro to establish the communication between the WinCC and the SIMATIC Manager or not . I have attached a file that will show you how to set these parameters (it is used to communicate the winCC with FH S7-400 so you can fit the parameters to achieve your demands) Attachment NetPro[1].pdf (407 Downloads)
