Hi You could consider Point to Point Radio Modems available from various manufacturers. These have a range of several km if there is clear line of sight between the two antennas. You can check out these and many similar offerings : http://www.teletronics.com/EZPlatform.html http://www.teletronics.com/EZbackhaul.html However I do not think these will be suitable for connecting ET-200M over WIreless ethernet, due to wireless communication time delays. You would need to consider a CPU ( like IM151-8 ) instead and establish TCP/IP Communication between the two. Hope this helps Cheers Navnag |

Hello B-gus let's assumeyou use a Profinet ET200M station and your S7-300 has a PN port on board. If so,a SCALANCE WLAN based solution will (should) do the job for a 1.5 km line of sight wireless Ethernet link. The trick is having true line of sight (without obstacles getting in the way and considerationfor the Fresnel zone), as well as correct directional antenna and antenna cable selection. Depending on the country you are in you must also observe the limits of effective power thatyou transmit. We have had good experience with Huber + Suhnerantennas andcables to cover similar distances and they would also be able to advice you on correct equipment selection, so I suggest you get in touch with them and keep us posted on the outcome. I hope this helps |
