Communicattion Via Ethernet in a Wincc 5.0 Project

Marques Posts: 126 Rating: (2)	I am trying to establish communicattion from a WinCC5.0project using the the S7 Protocol Suite withe a TCP/IP driver to comunicatte withe the Ethernet CP343-1, but i can not establish communicattion. I already made a ping to the CP343-1 and i have a positive response. The CP 343 is connected to a CPU314C-2DP. I an using WinCC 5.0, and i have installed the Simatic Net 6.2. The IP´s adress´s are: CP343 - 223.254.254.102 Pc of Wincc- 223.254.254.50 Can anyone help me?? What´s wrong here?? Regards, Marques

Marques Posts: 126 Rating: (2)	I understand you, but i still don´t now what version of Simatic NET i have to install to communicate withe CP343-1 TCP. To uninstall Simatic Net and install another version do i need to take any special care. Regards, Marques

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	I guess what we meant to say is that in this case all you need to worry about is Simatic Net Compatibility. Once you have Simatic Net installed, you'll have to configure the PG/PC, which for TCP/IP will be an Ethernet Adapter installed in your computer. WinCC will access the configured IP within the network, regardless of theadapter (in your PLC's case, the CP)being used.
